Factory Director's Letter: A New Chapter — We Have Moved

The Nordic BioCosmetic raw material store in the new premises in Tuusula

After months of preparation, Nordic BioCosmetic has moved to new, larger premises in Tuusula. More storage capacity, modern machinery, improved logistics, and entirely new laboratory facilities mark the beginning of a new chapter for our team and our clients.

Factory Director's Letter — September 2018

---

Dear clients, partners, and friends of Nordic BioCosmetic,

I am writing to share news that our entire team has been working towards for a long time: we have moved.

After months of preparation, careful planning, and more than a few long evenings, Nordic BioCosmetic has relocated to new, larger premises here in Tuusula. The move is complete. Production has resumed. And I want to take a moment to explain what this means — not just for us, but for every client who trusts us with their formulations.

Why we moved

The old facility served us well. It was the site of thousands of batches, hundreds of client projects, and decades of formulation work that I am genuinely proud of. But growth creates its own pressures. We had outgrown our storage capacity, our production lines were working at the limits of what the space allowed, and our laboratory — the heart of everything we do — needed more room to breathe.

The decision to move was not taken lightly. Relocating a GMP-certified cosmetics manufacturing facility is a significant undertaking. Every piece of equipment, every certification, every validated process had to be transferred without interruption to the quality standards our clients depend on.

We did it. And I believe we did it well.

What the new facility gives us

Expanded storage capacity. The new premises give us substantially more space for raw material storage, work-in-progress inventory, and finished goods awaiting dispatch. For clients, this means we can hold more of their materials on-site, reduce lead times, and manage larger production runs without the logistical bottlenecks that constrained us before.

Modern production machinery. We took the relocation as an opportunity to upgrade. Several of our filling and mixing lines have been replaced with newer equipment — more precise, faster to clean, and capable of handling a wider range of formulation viscosities and packaging formats. The result is better consistency across batches and more flexibility for clients with unusual requirements.

Improved logistics. The new location has significantly better access for both incoming deliveries and outgoing dispatches. Loading facilities, vehicle access, and storage organisation have all been redesigned with efficiency in mind. Orders leave faster. Materials arrive in better condition.

Entirely new laboratory facilities. This is the part I am most proud of. Our new laboratory is built from the ground up for the work we do. Separate zones for raw material testing, formulation development, stability testing, and quality control. Proper temperature and humidity controls. Space for the instruments and the thinking that good formulation requires.

Our formulation team has already settled in. The feedback has been unanimous: the new laboratory is a better place to do the work that makes Nordic BioCosmetic what it is.

What does not change

Everything that has made Nordic BioCosmetic a trusted partner over more than five decades remains unchanged. Our commitment to quality. Our COSMOS certification. Our approach to client relationships — direct, honest, and built on genuine expertise.

The address is new. The standards are the same.

A personal note

Moves like this do not happen without an exceptional team. I want to acknowledge everyone at Nordic BioCosmetic who made this transition possible — from the production staff who packed, transported, and reassembled equipment with extraordinary care, to the quality team who ensured our certifications remained intact throughout.

To our clients: thank you for your patience during the transition period and for the trust you place in us. We look forward to serving you from our new home.
